Greek honey tasting experience in Athens
Another honey tasting session was organized today for our visitors in Athens. The weather was not so favorable, however spring flowers are already blooming, releasing their aromas all around the bee farm!
After a welcome refreshing lemon juice drink, we started our presentation of the honey bees, it's life cycle and the amazing hive community. We continued by a short visit to our apiary and the honey lab, where honey is extracted and stored into big containers.

It was about time to start tasting unifloral greek honeys. We usually start from the light tastes of floral honeys, such as orange, cotton, sunflower. Then, tastes and aromas get stronger, with thyme honey and several honeydew honeys like fir honey, pine honey, oak tree honey. In between, we savored special treats with honey and cheese, banana and almond spread, all pairing perfectly with different honey varieties.
